Our projects

Climate Change; Clean Energy

The project is mainly targeted at running a Clean Energy initiative to reduce deforestation for firewood, provide a cleaner cooking alternative and provide decent livelihood opportunities to youth and women in rural farming communities of Uganda.

We will be implementing training/incubation programs that will nature and develop green/eco-friendly businesses that use grass root community based solutions designed and tested by Public Policy Forum Uganda. Our first target is to reduce deforestation by tackling firewood demand for which over 3.5 million trees are cut down annually in Uganda. We shall shift the pressure from the forests to the solid organic waste collected from farms, landfills and households.

The Clean Energy programme, in particular is a Youth Project aimed at equipping youth with practical and entrepreneurial skills in waste management, clean energy production and smart agriculture. We also supply fuel briquettes, construct stoves and provide consultation and training services.

Join us today and let's build a better Uganda together
